Terms of Service

Last updated: 9/30/2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to Solance ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our freelance marketplace platform built on the Solana blockchain (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. The Service

Solance provides a decentralized platform to connect clients ("Clients") and freelancers ("Freelancers") for the completion of projects. All transactions, including payments, escrow, and dispute resolution, are facilitated through smart contracts on the Solana blockchain.

3. User Accounts & Wallets

To use Solance, you must connect a supported Solana wallet. You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, private keys, and any associated funds. Solance does not have access to your private keys and cannot recover funds or reverse transactions. All on-chain actions initiated from your wallet are your responsibility.

4. Project Postings and Agreements

Clients may post projects detailing the scope of work, budget, and timeline. Freelancers may submit proposals to these projects. When a Client accepts a proposal and funds the on-chain escrow, a binding agreement is formed between the Client and the Freelancer based on the terms of the project and proposal.

5. Payments, Escrow, and Fees

All payments are made using supported cryptocurrencies on the Solana network (e.g., SOL, USDC). When a project is initiated, the Client deposits the agreed-upon amount into a smart contract escrow. These funds are held securely on-chain and are only released to the Freelancer upon successful completion and approval of the project milestones by the Client, or in accordance with the dispute resolution process. Solance charges a platform fee on each completed transaction, which is automatically deducted by the smart contract upon fund release.

6. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between a Client and a Freelancer, either party may initiate the on-chain dispute resolution process. The smart contract will lock the funds until the dispute is resolved either by mutual agreement or by a decision from Solance's designated arbitrators. You agree to be bound by the outcome of the dispute resolution process.

7. User Conduct and Responsibilities

  • You agree to provide accurate information in your profile and project postings.
  • You will not engage in any fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activities on the platform.
  • You are responsible for any tax obligations arising from your use of the Service.
  • Communication and transactions outside of the Solance platform for projects initiated on Solance are strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension.

8. Limitation of Liability

Solance is a decentralized platform that facilitates connections. We are not a party to the agreements between Clients and Freelancers. We are not liable for any damages or losses related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to financial losses, smart contract vulnerabilities, or disputes between users. The Service is provided "as is" without any warranties.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
